Finalists at The Scottish Care Awards
This year we decided to submit nominations for the Scottish Care Awards 2022 and are delighted to announce that we have two finalists who have been invited to attend the Awards Dinner and Ceremony on Friday 18th November. They are:
Nurse of the Year – Sharai Mutebuka Chingoma– Blenham House Nursing Home
Positive Impact – Matthew McCanny – Kirk Lane Nursing Home
Congratulations to Sharai and Matthew!
Sharai’s name was put forward by colleagues within the Randolph Hill group, and we were delighted to hear from a resident who asked that we prepare this nomination for Matthew. Names are put forward by residents or colleagues to Julie Kennedy, Marketing Manager, and there follows some considerable preparation in order to complete the submission to Scottish Care. This includes examples of the nominee going above and beyond their role, and the extensive contribution they make to the care sector, along with resident, family, and staff testimonials.
We would like to submit other staff members for a future award so that they too can receive this recognition and we would like to hear from you, both colleagues and residents and their families. Nominations will need to be in the categories set out by Scottish Care and meeting the criteria they have set. Randolph Hill would like to nominate staff in 2023 and we will be in touch in springtime next year to welcome new suggestions.
