Burns Night at Blenham
A few of the ladies and gentlemen from Blenham House thought it would be nice to get together and celebrate Burns Night. So, we dressed the table, dusted off the Burns Poetry book, looked out the Scottish music records, grabbed the Whisky, and we were ready! We had our celebration at lunchtime, that way there was the rest of the afternoon to keep singing and have a wee dram if it was wanted. A lovely 3 course lunch was served and the wine was flowing. When the haggis came along it was suitably addressed and then devoured. After lunch we had tea and shortbread.
Poems were read and songs were sung and it is safe to say that everyone enjoyed themselves. One of our residents even asked if we could have Burns Night every month!
