A Busy September

It’s been a busy month of activities at Randolph Hill, Dunblane. At the beginning of the month we had a visit from a wonderful man called Sean who gave us a talk on the Titanic. Sean was great and full of information, he even dressed the part and brought accessories for our residents to wear whilst listening to him!

Later in the month a few of our residents went on a day-trip to the Weeping Poppy display at Black Watch Museum, Perth. The ceramic poppies were displayed cascading from an upper window in the castle as part of the national World War One commemoration. The display was absolutely beautiful and quite moving for some of our residents.

Music in Hospitals (MiH) also came to pay us a visit last month. They are a charity whose mission is to improve the quality of life for adults and children through the joy and therapeutic benefits of professionally performed live music in hospitals, day care centres and care homes. They provided great entertainment for all of our residents (and staff!). I’m sure they’ll be back by popular demand for another visit.

Finally, we ended September on a high with a visit from Millie, one of our Therapets.
