As the Manager of Muirfield, I take great pride in welcoming you to our cherished nursing home, nestled in the heart of the picturesque village of Gullane.

I am privileged to serve as the Manager of this exceptional home. Upholding our high standards of care and constantly seeking ways to enhance our services is my top priority.
Muirfield Nursing Home has a high level of qualified staff including registered nurses and care workers along with managerial and administrative staff, domestic, kitchen and ancillary staff.
Our nurses are on duty 24 hours a day, giving peace of mind for residents and their families. Together with our committed care and support staff , there is a wonderful, compassionate team that form a strong professional unit providing our residents with kindness, fun, affection and, above all, respect.
Muirfield meets the National Care Standards, see our inspection report . This is mainly due to the outstanding performance of our staff, with many having worked here for a number of years, giving essential continuity of care for residents. A named nurse and key worker is assigned for each resident ensuring that each individuals feel cared for. A single point of contact is also useful for families who are keen to hear how their relative is faring or to discuss aspects of their care.

My mother has now been at Muirfield for 1 and a half years. The permanent members of staff are always very cheerful and kind and seem to have built up a good relationship with her. They always give my mother a good welcome back when she has been away staying with us at home for a few days. The food is good and there is a great hairdresser. The gardens are very well tended and my mother spends as much time as possible outside. The gardener even keeps jobs back for her to do.
