Birthday Celebrations & Entertainment at Blenham House
Musical Performances
Residents at Blenham House were treated to a special show by a group of talented children, aged from 5 to 10 years old. The West Edinburgh Majorettes put on a spectacular show and the residents had such a good time that they will be returning by popular demand. We look forward to the next show!
We’ve had plenty of musical entertainment this month at Blenham House. A young musician called Ross Arthur treated the residents to a few songs, singing and playing the guitar. Our regular duo act, Rod & Gerry delivered a variety of songs on the keyboard and guitar and provided a very soothing session, which was enjoyed by all of our residents.
Finally, we had a visit from a lovely lady called Sharon Day, a fabulous singer who charms our residents with her sweet voice. Sharon had a bit of competition this time round, from our very own Martin who got up and shared a couple of songs with the residents. Martin and Sharon received a well deserved round of applause from the residents who were thoroughly entertained!
Church Service
Residents at Blenham House continued to attend their monthly church service. This is always a great hit with our residents who enjoy listening to the readings and singing along to the hymns.
Birthday Celebrations
We’ve had some special birthdays here at Blenham House, and this time is was the turn of Ricky Paterson who turned 80 on the 27th of February. With his family’s wishes, Blenham House put together a birthday party fit for the occasion. Our staff did a fantastic job of decorating the lounge and our fabulous chef whisked up a delicious buffet, which of course included a tasty birthday cake. It was a great day enjoyed by all, a big happy birthday to you Ricky!
