The Livingston Village Gala Day

The theme of the Gala Day was ‘Disney’, and our residents loved to see the entrance to Kirk Lane decorated with themed flags and tissue paper flowers.

The weather was lovely and warm and our residents enjoyed watching local school and nursery children, and other local organisations, taking part in the parade. The Gala Queen with her flower girls drove by on the float, followed by The Mayfield & Easthouses Pipe Band. It was a delight for everyone when the band continued their entertainment in our car park.

We handed out sweetie cones to the children who were in the parade, and those that came along to watch.  Some residents also enjoyed a visit to the stalls and games across the road in the school grounds.

It was a very happy and joyful day, and finished off with a gala day goodie bag for all of the residents.
